While angels tear up the thatched stable roof to admit the starlight, the Virgin, in this panel from the East window of St. Peter Mancroft, Norwich, displays the infant Christ to the kneeling Magi, who are depicted in the adjoining panel. Joseph sits in a squat, round-backed chair which is also included in the Nativity scene in the same window.
